Jacqueline grew up in a small town in Michigan. At the age of 4 she began ballet at the local dance studio. She went on to attend a ballet academy and perform in The Nutcracker. She performed on a competitive dance team until the age of sixteen when she and her family moved to South Florida. Jacqueline got away from what she once loved, but when she tried yoga for the first time she knew that this was what she had been searching for all along. Yoga came to Jacqueline at just the right time in her life; she went through lifestyle and geographical changes that had left her looking for healing. From the moment she stepped onto her yoga mat, her whole life had a new sense of meaning. She was inspired by her yoga teachers – they had a way of helping her work through some difficult times in her life. Not only did she develop her practice, but she grew spiritually and connected on a deeper level to others and herself.
Jacqueline wanted to be able to share these feelings with others one day; to pass along what had been given to her. Like the NamaStacy Yoga Corporation® she hopes to “pay it forward, one yogi at a time”. Jacqueline completed The Barkan Method of Hot Yoga’s 200 hour Level I Yoga Alliance recognized teacher training in July of 2014. She taught her very first class the day after graduation at The Barkan Method of Fort Lauderdale and is looking forward to continuing her education with Jimmy Barkan.
