One of Andrea’s favorite quotes states: “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” And as she steps out of her comfort zone and into her journey as a teacher, she is doing just that. Beginning with where she is – after a two year period during which she became a single mom after a divorce and a cancer survivor after beating Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Andrea is standing solidly on her desire to live a healthy, happy and inspired life and committed to helping others do the same. Andrea is a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance, a self-proclaimed “self-development addict” and a passionate “goal setter” and “goal getter”! Andrea is a teacher by nature and is ready to share all that she is learning as a student of life. Topping it off with what she can do – Andrea is intentionally taking every given opportunity and/or creating opportunities to teach yoga and self-development workshops. She currently teaches yoga classes in her community and is part of the Wellness Committee at her current workplace.
Andrea’s dream is to become as prolific and confident as a teacher by being a devoted student so she can support the growth and transformation of others. Her desire to share yoga is rooted deeply within her and stems from her own transformation through the practice at different times in her life. Yoga enabled Andrea to leave behind a “party life” which was drowning her, forgive herself and her ex-husband for a failed marriage, and most recently, find the courage and self love she needed to beat cancer, which she calls “the most beautiful of gifts in the oddest of packages.”
Andrea is profoundly grateful for the opportunity to deepen her knowledge thanks to the help of the Namastacy Yoga Corporation®. She plans to pay it forward by creating yoga programs at local hospitals for cancer patients and their caretakers. Being a connector and community lover – she also plans to grow with NamaStacy Yoga Corporation® and support its growth and potential to keep on helping other teachers share the love of yoga!! #PayItForward #OneYogiAtAtime
